What is massage therapy?

Abby Massage Collective provides clients with Massage Therapy services, treating a variety of conditions using a combination of treatment techniques. 

Massage Therapy is defined as the assessment of soft tissue and joints of the body, and treatment and prevention of physical dysfunction, injury, pain and disorders of soft tissue and joints of the body by manipulation, mobilization and other manual methods.


What conditions are treated?

Massage therapy can treat a number of different soft tissue and musculoskeletal conditions, varying from general stress release and tension headaches, to more complex issues such as frozen shoulder, whiplash, TMJ dysfunction and chronic low back pain. Other conditions that massage therapy can be beneficial in treating are:

  • Tendinitis

  • Arthritis

  • Fibromyalgia
